AUGUST 27 –28 • WASHINGTON, DC
Assemble at lincoln memorial
Mass Action, Every Case Matters and West Wednesdays — with the leadership and collaboration of dozens of mothers and loved ones of men and women slain by police across the country — are building a contingent in the 57th commemoration of the March on Washington, August 27-28, 2020.
The current demands of the "Take Your Knee Off Our Necks" action, as they pertain to police brutality are very weak. That is why dozens of families and loved ones have come together and drafted a letter to Al Sharpton, The National Action Network (NAN), and other organizers of this historic event, urging them to sharpen the demands. Calling for police reform, in general, is simply not enough. Telling people to vote is not enough. This brutality has taken place across both Republican AND Democratic administrations. While in DC, we will take these demands to the Department of Justice.
Most of us -- despite damning evidence against cop aggressors -- remain in legal limbo, with not guilty verdicts, hung juries or cases that never made it to trial. We want to build a contingent from families across the country to join the Washington D.C. action in solidarity with George Floyd and ALL families to specifically demand: "Reopen the cases!" and "Justice for All.
Join the contingent! Help get us all prepared with the documents below including:
